Islamabad: Various volunteers have come together to carry out a cleanliness campaign in the city during spring, a news report stated. Their focus is on recreational spots of the capital, such as parks and hiking tracks. Another such group of volunteers is planning to remove rubbish carelessly thrown in the hiking trails in order to protect the environment. These, along with other groups of volunteers, will start working in spring to rid the capital of garbage and make the city cleaner. Haleem Khan, who manages these volunteers, is of the view that the basic ethics of cleanliness should be incorporated in the society, to protect the environment. Ahsan Rahim, a volunteer, added that it is even more important that the inaccessible areas of the capital are made cleaner, as this is where most of the garbage gets thrown and collected at.
